"Acceptance isn’t giving up — it’s choosing to finally move forward. When we accept what is, we open the door to everything that can be."

Our Story
Grit and Grace RCO is a peer-led Recovery Community Organization committed to walking alongside individuals and families on their journey of healing and long-term recovery. Founded in 2022 in the midst of the pandemic, we began with only two staff members and two virtual Zoom recovery meetings each day — serving people wherever they were, when they needed it most. With no physical location but a deep passion for service, we built a safe and supportive community that steadily grew. Today, Grit and Grace operates from a state-of-the-art, community-designed space, carefully shaped by the voices and needs of those we serve. Every service, program, and hour of operation reflects the feedback, experiences, and hopes of our participants. With a dedicated team of five, we now host 3 to 5 meetings daily, and have engaged with our community over 80,000 times — providing advocacy, education, and peer support that empowers individuals to pursue lasting recovery. We believe in the S.O.A.R. Science of Addiction Recovery, multiple pathways, the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, person led trauma-informed care, and the strength of the human spirit. At Grit and Grace, recovery is not only possible — it is powerful, it is personal, and it transforms lives.
Science Of Addiction Recovery (S.O.A.R)
Imagine a world where addiction no longer defines a person’s story — where science, compassion, and community come together to unlock the brain’s ability to heal. At Grit & Grace, this is not just a vision — it’s happening every day. The Science of Addiction Recovery (SOAR) empowers us to go beyond managing symptoms and instead walk with individuals as they rebuild their lives, their relationships, and their futures. Your partnership fuels this life-changing work, helping us bring cutting-edge neuroscience, evidence-based practices, and unwavering hope to those who once believed recovery was out of reach. Together, we are rewriting stories — one life, one family, one future at a time.

Chronic, Treatable
Brain Disease
Addiction is a Chronic, Treatable Brain Disease. Addiction alters brain chemistry, particularly in areas governing reward, motivation, memory, judgment, and impulse control. But just as the brain was changed, it can also heal and rewire with proper support.

The Brain Can Heal
Neuroplasticity
The brain has the incredible ability to form new neural pathways. With ongoing recovery practices — healthy relationships, purpose, routines, and accountability — the brain can restore balance, rebuild cognitive function, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

Multiple Pathways
There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Recovery can be achieved through a variety of pathways, including faith-based, 12-step, medication-assisted treatment, holistic care, and peer support. Each individual’s pathway should honor their unique needs and values.

8 Dimensions of Wellness
True recovery goes beyond abstinence. It includes physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, financial, and social well-being — aligning closely with the 8 Dimensions of Wellness. All of our programming, events, and activities are designed to support whole health wellness.
The Power of Connection & Relationships
Healthy, supportive relationships are critical for healing. Connection reduces isolation, builds resilience, and activates parts of the brain essential for long-term recovery.
Hope is a Catalyst for Change
Belief in the possibility of recovery fuels motivation and engagement. When individuals — and their communities — hold onto hope, it creates a powerful foundation for change.
Resilience Can Be Built
Even after trauma, setbacks, or relapse, individuals can learn new ways to cope, bounce back, and grow stronger through ongoing support, education, and self-care practices
